April 17th is our next PresWIC Meeting in Raymond.

The invites went out last week to each of the churches. If you haven't seen your talk to your pastor or WIC president. Everyone needs to RSVP by Monday, April 5th.

We will be having a time of testimonies and focusing on God's faithfulness through all generations. We will also be hearing about Leadership Training, our WIC Love Gift, and other important information to take back to our local churches.

Leadership Training

Here are some photos of the ladies that attended Leadership Training in Atlanta in February. We are so grateful to MS Valley Presbytery for providing the money to send the council members this year. Three of the council members could not attend, and the Lord provided for three local WIC leaders to join us in their place. In the photos from top to bottom, are Michelle McKenzie with her son Noah from the Lexington church and Shelli Robison from Raymond. Below that are Elizabeth Steele from Meridian and Kerry Wright from North Park in Jackson. And the last photo includes Dean Black from Madison Heights, Velmarie Burton from Belzoni, and Jane Wiggins our WASC Rep from First Presbyterian in Jackson.

Our speaker was Jarrem Barrs, who gave us great insight into the book of Ruth. We also had a variety of workshops to attend, as well as regional meetings. We purchased for the PresWIC a flashdrive containing the audio from all the meetings, as well as the power point outlines from soem meetings. If you are interested in listening to them, let Kerry know by email. The new MS Valley PresWIC email is msvalleypreswic@gmail.com. We will also be making that available at the spring meeting.

Here are photos from our Feb 6th Workshop. We had about 25 ladies and two precious little ones from about 10 churches in MS Valley Presbytery. It was a wonderful time of fellowship, sharing, and being envigorated about ministry leadership. Velmarie Burton did a fabulous job and we were all blessed by the morning together.

Upcoming Events

February 6th - Ministry Workshop at North Park Presbyterian Church, 9:00-1:00. Open to Pastor's wives, Women's Ministry leaders, and anyone with a heart for ministry. Bring paper, pencil, a desire for ministyr, and your own sack lunch.
